Yes, another leaf falls in the tree of history(2010) and time for a new leaf (2011). This day is definetly an important day, rather than tommorrow because tommorrow it will be a totally new day and today is the last day of the previous year. So this day becomes the junction point of the previous year and the coming year.

Always junctions are important. They are the milestones where important changes takes place. For example there will be always important rail junctions and bus junctions. These are the places where people change their buses or trains to reach to their destinations. Even in human life, the junction points or milestones are very important which change their course of path to reach their life destination.

In indian history, great sages and rishis have found the importance of these junction points in each and every day. Basically each day will have various parts morning, noon, evening,night and always there is a junction point between them. In sanskrit we call this junction point as sandhya. Usually they have defined some rituals to be performed during these period for the welfare of humanity. Who ever follows these rituals and performs them on time will definetly be blessed with sound mental strength and positive attitude which will lead their lives to harmony and success. Definetly these people will become role models in designing their lives and in others lives.

For this reason, every religion suggests to perform prayers and meditations to be done during these periods. The time period is important, otherwise it becomes just like any other activity. We need to follow them strictly, because the time which moves away will never come back. In computers and other human created places there may be a replay or cancel, but in god created nature there is no replay or cancel. Once a time moves away there is no second chance or replay or cancel to go back and do it. So we need to be aware of this and give our best in the first time itself. Dont think that there is a second chance or we will come again to do this. Think that this is the last chance god has given me and give your 100% effort in each and every activity you are doing. Laziness in the mind and body, dependency on machines, forgetting the real strengths of themselves,procrastination - these are the culprits which is making human lives in emotional tsunamis. People have forgotten their real strengths and are just dependent on machines.

There is a situation where humans are also incapable of doing anything by interrupting the functionality of the machines. Life comes to a standstill. What is the advantage of so much technology when humans are totally dependent on machines forgetting their real strengths and have become puppets in the hands of machines.

Let us not make the next generation to become totally machine dependent. Let us not spoil our next generation. Let the heritage and culture be carried forward to generations down the lane.

So most people take resolutions on this day that they are going to do this thing or leave this thing. Here two things have to be considered, identifying our faults and weakness. Take a resolution to shed our faults or weakness. The second thing we identify some good qualities or strengths in the people whom we like or feel as our role models. We take a resolution to imbibe those qualities within us. Everyones goal at the end is to be happy. People have various ideas in trying to be happy. Somebody listen to music to be happy, somebody dance to be happy, somebody does cooking to be happy, somebody drink to be happy etc. So whatever maybe the activity the end result a person is looking for is to be happy. Everyone is trying for the same thing.

We want to achieve this by correcting ourselves. For this we should leave our weakness and as well as imbibe strengths and positive attitude, when we are able to strike a balance between these both i.e shedding or correcting or overcoming our faults and imbibing good qualities and positive attitude, the quality of our life is going to be improved.

So on this day of junction point between 2010 and 2011 where we are bidding farewall to 2010 and are ready to welcome 2011, let us remember the words of swami vivekanada. "Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is way great spiritual giants are produced.”

It is time to awake and make the people realise where we are moving. Why there is distress everywhere when people claim that they are earning more. When people are earning more there should be more more harmony and more happiness. But more education,more technology and more earning is not giving peace , happiness and harmony rather it is creating distances between people , families and countries. When the situation should have been better, it is the other way. For this reason swami vivekanda gave a call to the youth of the nation. That they are the tomorrows destiny makers. They should take the intitative in inculcating great values. People who have values and morals definetly make the place for living. They can create an environment where peace,harmony,happiness exists. Otherwise it is all just a drama and the end result is trauma, choas, distress, unrest and disaster.

It is time to think for each and every person, what they are doing and what they are supposed to do. Let this day be the junction point in bringing the change in thought process of every individual to begin with a new dawn and a new year which will bring the change in the quality of individual lives. When this happens, there is a change in the quality of  family lives. When all the families are happy, then definetly the countries and the whole world is happy. When technology has made the whole world as a small global village, where technology has crossed the barriers of the physical distances between the countries on this world. It has simply increased the distances between humans. This is definetly an alarming situation. Why not everyone take that initiative this  day to start with a year 2011 which should bring peace,harmony,happiness among the people of the entire world.

Let there be peace all over. Let there be harmony all over. Let there be completeness all over. Let there be happiness all over. Let there be good all over. Let GOD give enough strength to all to be blessed with all these in the coming new year 2011.

Shradha- Its nothing but having faith and love towards what ever we do. We need to achieve excellence in whatever we do. For this we need to have clarity in the thought, clarity in word and clarity in deed. It implies that the thought,word and deed should be in synchronization. When we have these three things in synchronization, the end result will be always success resulting excellence. The same thing baba told many times that Once you accept to do some work, do it sincerely else dont accept to do. When we have love towards the work we do, what ever the size of the work we will not feel burden and difficult in doing the work, rather we feel it light and ease.

And the Second thing saburi- i.e Patience. We need to have patience in getting the results. Once we start some work, we need to have patience till the process or work is completed and we get the result. If we dont have patience, we may fail in between. Patience is the boat which will make us cross great oceans.

Shradha and Saburi are just like two sides of the coin, which exists side by side and which cant be separated. To know sai we need to have both the qualities within us. May Baba Bless us all to realise this and implement these in our lives.

Baba said look to me and I will look to you. Various questions arise in mind regarding this. When we claim that baba is sarvantaryami and he knows everything and he is everywhere in all forms. Even when one says and feels that baba is right in his heart in the form of his antaratma, then what is baba trying to say that "look to me and I will look to you".

Let us try to understand the inner meaning of what baba really wants from us. A famous quote says that even a mother will not give until asked for something. In this scenerio baba knows everything and is always with us and more than a mother. Baba is such a lovable mother as big as an ocean of mercy, where he always took care of us, taking care of us and always takes care of us. He was there and is there and would be there forever with us. But the problem is that we are unaware that baba is with us. The human mind cannot recognise and always wants proofs and experiences.

As a short story goes, once man wanted the proof  that god was always with him, god said my child you can always see that there are pair of steps besides yours which are mine indicating that I am always with you. Man always checked at various circumstances that the second pair of steps were there or not. Once it happened that the man underwent a lot of turmoil  and diffuclty in his life and checked whether god was with him or not. To his surprise he found only one pair of steps for which he got very much disappointed and questioned God, how come there is only one pair of steps which indicate that you have deserted me  during my difficulties, for which god answered that my child the steps which you are seeing are mine only, I have taken you onto my shoulders to mimize the troublesome period which you were unable to walk.

The reality is always like this, we try to look from our dimension and come to conclusion without knowing the actual reality. The reality is always that baba is with us, only we are unable to recognise it and only we are unaware of it. Simply we cant deny fact because we are unaware of it and we could not see it. Say I am unable to see the magnetic force of the earth, I cannot deny its existence. Say somebody could not show their pain when they are hurt, I cannot deny that they dont have pain. Just because, I cannot see the mind of someone, I cannot say or conclude that they are mindless. If somebody is trying to simply deny or argue without knowing the reality, they are only at loss. Intelligent thing is that we should always try to know the reality when someone is trying to explain it.

Baba wants us to turn over thought, word and deed towards him. Instead of wasting our thoughts in useless things we can definetly think positively and constructively. Instead of speaking bad about others and involving in gossips and other useless chats, we can tell stories about baba and discuss the leelas of baba . Instead of doing some activity which is of no use to anyone, we can definetly do seva to sai at various levels such as physical level, emotional level, spiritual level etc. Because baba is everywhere once we start looking from this perspective that  everything is prevailed by baba and baba is everywhere, we will definitely get the indications from baba that he is watching us and helps us at every step.  This entire process helps us in reaching baba and knowing him.

For the same thing baba encouraged the nine ways of devotion.Any one can choose his interested path of devotion and proceed ahead. This is just like the different ways to reach a single destination. Participating in aarti, doing annadan, helping someone in need, being a moral support for needy person etc. can be anything.

But the main thing, is not getting attached to the activity with the "I", i.e we should not forget our duty or whatever the activity we are doing, we should not leave it mid-way, nor we should be idle by not doing anywork. We should do our duty or any activity which we accept with total focus by not being attached to it. We should think that we are doing this for the sake of baba, baba has given the strength to do this work, and the result is left to baba. We should only be concerned in doing the activity 100%, not about the result of the activity.

When we change this perspective in every work of us including baba in it. Then baba will shower his blessings in such a way that we cant even imagine it. That is the mercy of sai and the meaning of the above lines.

Baba, the ocean of mercy said that you will experience the same of what you think and want. One may say outwardly many things, but when they are unable to follow what they say, definitely the result is based on not what they say outwardly but what they think and feel inwardly.

So we need to think positively and maintain the synchronization between, the thought, word and deed, then only we can quicly reach baba and even baba helps us in every work of ours in our daily lives.

Let us give a serious thought about this, what baba wants from us. There are three things involved to make us successful in any sphere of life or activity we do i.e thought, word and deed.  Initially we get some idea or thought which is abstract in nature. Secondly we can express about the idea in words. Finally we work on the idea we got and the words we express about the idea. The end result is either success or failure which depends on  what is the level of synchronization we maintained between the three things thought,word and deed. Even baba showed the same thing throughout his life in shirdi by actions rather than by words.

Sai has always clarity in his thought, the same was expressed in his words and actions, which he always followed and made others to follow. The classic example for this can be taken as the shej aarti which started in shirdi on 10/12/1910. Initially baba was reluctant for the shej aarti but once the aarti was started, he never allowed it to be stopped and till date this continues in shirdi. In a way Baba showed us how one needs to do guru seva in the case of jawahar ali. When jawahar ali came to shirdi and claimed that baba was his chela, and he was his guru, baba never showed any disregard and remained as his chela inspite of knowning everything. This clearly shows that baba was seeing everyone and everything as the form of his guru which made him treat jawahar ali with respect. Also this is the reason which made baba stick to shirdi when he can have settled anywhere in this big world. His guru samadhi was in shirdi, and baba never wanted to leave his guru sannidhi.

Anyone who can have clarity in thought, word and deed will definetly be helped by baba in their materialistic as well as spirtual practices without any doubt.

Who Am I

Who am I

A small as well as big question. Small for those who have already realised and identified. Big for those who are still in quest of it.  A thought arises that who had already identified and experienced it, need not say anything about it. Simply they stay in that state. But what about the people who are in quest of it. Our epics and puranas says that a person whom we call sadguru who had already experienced this can easily make the person in quest of this to experience the same. For which we need to follow the path of the master.

Now the question arises how can we believe in the master, so that we can follow the master to have the end result of knowing thyself, because the human mind always expects some proof that the master really knows and can make me know myself. A simple looking but difficult task. I dont know myself and I dont believe in the master and I dont have the knowledge to guage whether the master is really experienced or not.  So I am struck up at this point.

The first thing I need to have strong faith and belief in my master, then I can simply follow him, just like a small monkey attaches itself to its mother.  So the entire responsibility is on the mother monkey to take care of the child, so here also the master is going to take care about the little monkey.

The second thing once I have developed faith  in my master, I have to traverse in the path shown by him so as to reach the destination. What is the use if I am not traversing  in the path shown by master, just mere listening to words will not suffice.

Master Please give me enough strength so that I dont leave you and shake my faith in you. Please give me enough strength so that I can follow your words and traverse in the path shown by you in reaching my knowing thyself( i.e YOU).
