What you have inside only is visible outside

A question arises in the mind, why baba asked to look at his picture as the first step towards meditation?

An answer comes that "What you have inside only is visible outside". Let us try to elaborate this more. Every person right from his childhood is given training in every aspect of the life by inputting the knowledge into him. Once he have the knowledge inside, then only it reflects outside in every phase of his life. Something which is not inside is not visible to him outside.

Let us take some example to this. Consider that a child who is not aware about apple, when it is directly given to him doesn't recognise it. He cant spell the sound of apple, he cant recognise it, whereas for the first time, if the child is given the input about apple, then he has knowledge of apple, the sound which spells apple, the colour which apple has etc. So next time, if the child is shown an apple he can recognise the apple very easily because he has it already inside him. It is the same with even an adult, everybody is having experience and knowledge with respect to their domains in which they are working or learning. They can identify or answer anything with respect to their experience, knowledge and domain, because they have all those things inside them, whereas if they are asked about something which they dont have inside them, they cant answer.

This is the simple logic. so in what way we can correlate it to the words told by Baba.

Baba had n number of times told that he is not the 5 and 1/2 feet physical human body, rather he is the soul which is existing in all the beings. One who can identify baba thus has truly realised him.  So what is the easiest way to achieve this. Baba is showing such a simple path, saying that unnecessarily we are searching for him outside, which results nothing because until unless he is inside, he cant be found outside.

So the first step is to have him inside, once we have him inside, definetly we can find him outside. So baba is suggesting a simple step to concentrate on his physical form as input. It is just like the camera lens capturing an image in its frame. Similarly we should capture the image of baba in our heart. The day we have him inside our heart, definetly we can find him outside also. Then we can really realise and experience baba around us, within us, below us, above us, besides us and everywhere.

The second step which baba was suggesting it we need to continue the meditation till the point where meditation, meditator and object of meditation (Baba) becomes one. That is the meditator will lose his ego and will merge into the object of meditation. The classic example for this is the caterpillar becoming butterfly. By constantly meditating and thinking about Baba, we lose our identity (ego) and the mind will merge with baba, there by becoming one with baba, then there is no inside and outside.

May everyone understand this and do meditation to know and realise baba.
